The Holl tie is made of pure 100% silk with a pure wool lining. All of our ties have a width of 8.5 cm (3.35
in.) and a length of 1.50 m (59 in).

Some Helpful Advice for Selecting and Wearing
Ties
The Knot
An important aspect is the way in which the tie is knotted at the
collar. The simple knot with typical proportions is well suited
to a shirt with a small collar, whereas a very large knot should
be used only with a shirt with a long collar.
Tying the Tie
And how does one tie a tie properly? It is a simple gesture that,
with a few basic rules, becomes as easy as tying one's shoes. Not
everyone realizes that to tie a "simple knot", the most
common, it's necessary to position the longer end 30 cm (12 in.)
lower, and if you are right handed to the right, for left-handers
to the left.
Combining Ties and Shirts
- Ties of solid color work well with striped or patterned shirts
- Patterned ties with solid color shirts
Otherwise:
- Ties of light colors go well with shirts of darker colors, and
conversely, a dark tie should be matched with a lighter shirt. Clearly,
in this phase of coordination it is important to have good taste.
